4 kilometres of line lighting for DC Hulst

Luminaid worked with MI Groep to deliver around 4 kilometres of DATALUX line lighting for the distribution centre in Hulst. Located near the Belgian border, the building comprises 21,700 m² of warehouse space and a 1,861 m² mezzanine. The lighting combines uniform illumination across the working area with a low connected load and integrated emergency lighting.

Working together from design to handover

The distribution centre is well positioned for logistics operations to and from the Port of Antwerp. Building contractor MarQant constructed the facility in close collaboration with MI Groep, which was responsible for all building services installations.

MI Groep and Luminaid worked together on the lighting design, manufacture, installation and handover. The result is a DATALUX continuous linear lighting system spanning around 4 kilometres.

Uniform illumination across the warehouse

The continuous lighting runs provide uniform illumination throughout the warehouse, supporting day-to-day work in the distribution centre. The low connected load also limits the electrical power required for the lighting installation.

Emergency lighting within the system

The installation also includes the DCEM30 emergency lighting system. In the event of a mains power failure, it provides emergency illumination through the line lighting, helping occupants find their bearings and identify the escape route.

Products used

The DATALUX.LT is a continuous line lighting system with external driver that provides unprecedented uniform light for commercial applications.
