Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Ltd had a very old and failing gas fired radiant heating system in the production shop floor area of their site on the Team
Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. Having initially met at a North East Exhibition during a “Meet the Buyer” event PremiAir Comfort Ltd were
invited to undertake a site survey in order to establish and design a suitable replacement factory space heating system. Having considered a number of alternative space heating options and being
aware of the need to avoid floor standing units since floor space is a premium on site PremiAir Comfort proposed the use of 7 No. Winterwarm,
Gas Fired, TR100 suspended heaters together with 10 No. WCU40 High Level De-stratification fans. These heaters were all installed with individual
MTC 8 clock controllers to provide for flexibility and automatic thermostatic operation of the system.
With PremiAir Comfort having surveyed the site and designed a suitable replacement heating solution in conjunction with Simon Mackie of Parker
Hannifin we then employed the services of Enright Environmental Ltd to undertake the installation of the proposed system and program all of the
works on site to minimise disruption to the production program including some weekend working when required. Having started the installation in early December 2021 its was completed by
the end of January 2022. On commissioning the system and during the handover Simon Mackie of Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Ltd said “We are
very pleased with the professionalism of PremiAir Comfort in both the design and presentation of the system, Winterwarm for the high quality and
efficiency of the heaters supplied and finally Enright Environmental Ltd for the smooth and well managed installation of the gas pipework and heaters
with minimal disruption to our production cells”.
