The existing heating system was outdated and consumed large amounts of gas. The conventional fluorescent lighting also placed a significant demand on electricity consumption. WBL Solutions was looking for a sustainable system that would reduce energy costs, improve the indoor climate and visibility, and provide a future proof solution.
Working together with installation partner Pola from Zevenaar (NL), the existing heating system was replaced with a combination of a Winterwarm Qwikshift QSG hybrid heat pump and booster system and Winterwarm HR unit heaters. The Qwikshift not only provides efficient heating but also cooling, ensuring a comfortable working environment in the production hall throughout the year. In addition, its cooling function keeps the tube laser machine at the correct operating temperature, allowing production to continue even during hot summer days.
At the same time, the entire lighting installation was upgraded with WinLed Skyline LED lighting. This not only resulted in significant energy savings but also greatly improved visibility, creating a more comfortable working environment for employees at WBL Solutions.

Result
The modernisation of both the heating and lighting installations has delivered substantial savings on gas and electricity consumption. WBL Solutions also benefits from a more comfortable working environment, even heat distribution, improved visibility and a sustainable installation that is ready for future developments.
